Columbia Police Investigate Robbery at Sonic on Business Loop
On 9/13/11 at approximately 4:58 A.M., Officers were dispatched to a robbery involving a possible hand gun at Sonic located at 708 E. Business Loop 70.
The investigation revealed the male victim, an employee with Sonic, arrived to open the business when he was approached by the suspect from behind. The suspect demanded the male victim enter the store and give him the money. The suspect implied he had a handgun but a gun was never displayed. The male victim said he and the suspect entered the business and the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled the scene on foot. No one was injured during the robbery.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:
Light complected black male, 6’2, 195 lbs, last seen wearing black shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
Columbia Police officers and detectives are actively working on this case. Investigative supervisors will have more information when it becomes available.
