INCIDENT LOCATION: THIRD AVE/PROVIDENCE RD
VICTIM: 47 YEAR OLD MALE (STABBED IN ABDOMEN)
SUSPECT #1:Black male, 6’0” tall, 180-190 lbs, 20-25 years old wearing a black hooded sweatshirt
SUSPECT #2:Black male, 5’5” tall, 150 lbs, 20-25 years old wearing a black hooded sweatshirt
DETAILS OF INCIDENT:
The victim was walking through a yard in the area of 3rd Ave and Providence. Suspect #1 came from the area of a construction site and demanded the victim’s property. The victim refused and Suspect #2, previously not seen by the victim, approached from behind. When the victim turned he was stabbed in the abdomen by the second suspect. It is not known what type of weapon was used.
The victim stated he attempted to fight and flee and when the struggle was over the suspects ran away westbound on Forest. The victim stated the suspects stole a small amount of cash.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the University Hospital and was admitted. The wound received by the victim was not life-threatening.
